Principal Racing Dates 2025
- On The Water Risk Assessment.
The RSYC is very active on the water, members have the opportunity to participate in the following Club races throughout the years;

Spring Series begins on Sunday 9th March 2025 and runs through to Easter Sunday 20th April. Seven races in total. This is open to Class 1&2 and Folkboats.

Our much loved Spence Willard Wednesday Evening Racing will begin on again began on 23rd April. This is for all classes (Class 1&2 Cruiser Racers, Folkboats, XODs & YODs sailing as Class 3, & Dinghies).
'WER' runs every Wednesday right through to 17th September and consists of three series. Prize Giving & Supper is the following Wednesday 24th September, a very popular evening for all sailors.

XODs race each Saturday from 26th April until 14th September.

Class 1&2 Cruiser Racers, Folkboats, XODs, YODs & Dinghies race on Sunday mornings from 27th April until 21st September.

Laser Training takes place 28th July with an RYA Instructor.

Dinghy Week is 4th ~ 7th August when all ages and all dinghies are welcome.

Racing with the Royal Lymington is actively encouraged - Class 1&2, Folkboats & XODs can race on Thursday evenings during the summer from the Lymington start box.

We all enjoy the Sunset Series of evening races during the third week in August.

Then the last week of August is the fabulous Folkboat Week with 9 races over 5 days ~ 2025 will be the 60th Folkboat Week, generously sponsored again by Lymington Yacht haven.

The Winter Series 1&2 for Class 1&2 & Folkboats run from 5th October until 21st December, these are sponsored by River Yar Boatyard and Wight Marine. The great finale (and not part of any series) is the very popular Boxing Day Race.

On a more leisurely note, the Club has a Cruising Group which organises day trips and overnight outings during the Summer. To view their Cruise Reports, and for more information on future cruises, please click here.
